When I first discovered Green Bags, I doubted their claims. How could a plastic bag keep my produce fresh longer?
Soon I realized the power of the bags to extend the life of my produce. They came in so handy when I did not use all the produce I bought.
I placed each individual type of fruits and veggies in a separate bags and a week later the produce was still fresh! Crisp lettuce, fresh celery, herbs, green beans, apples, oranges, peaches, and the list goes on.
It is wonderful to go to the refrigerator and know that the produce I bought last week is not spoiled which allows me to have a larger selection on hand.
Now, Green Bags don't preserve fresh fruits and vegetables, they only extend the life of the produce. Who would want to eat lettuce that is 5 weeks old? Well, I did discover that a head of lettuce could last that long when placed in a Green Bag and stored in the refrigerator.
Evert-Fresh Green Bags will last up to 10 or times of use. How long is the use period? Say you store green beans for a week, that become a time, wash the bag out with clean water, then you can continue to use the bag for other produce or more green beans. You'll perhaps over a period of time you'll notice that an old Green Bag may not be holding the fruits and veggies as long as it did in the beginning but no need to throw it away. Use it on another produce that takes longer to ripen, like oranges or apples.
The savings is terrific! You won't be throwing spoiled produce away!
Oh, on occasion you might find that some produce has acquired mold, then you pitch it out, rinse the bag with hot water, let it dry and you'll be ready for the next batch of produce.
I can't begin to tell you the money I have saved. It really adds up and I attribute the savings to the Green Bags!

What is the difference between Evert-Fresh Green Bags and Debbie Meyer's Green Bags?
No difference except in the packaging.
Evert Fresh Green Bags are the original green bags and several years ago Mr. Evert had a contact with Debbie to bring the fabulous product to HSN. She is a good spokesperson for Green Bags that were packaged in a specially designed box. Our customers like the fact that they can buy Evert Fresh Green Bags in three different sizes. Each package contains 10 Green Bags. They come in Small, Medium and Large. The Small will hold a head of lettuce, the Large will hold a couple of heads of Romaine lettuce. The bags are very generous in size. You secure the top with a clip, twisty or just tuck it under itself and place in the refrigerator.
